Come play Chess
Our club is open to beginners and experts, young and old — so why not join us and improve your game? We currently hold our club nights in town at the Old Magistrate's Court in Seale Street, St Helier. The club is open every Tuesday from 7pm until end June 2026 (except for 24th February, 10th March, 14th April, 12th May and 9th June).

All Standards Welcome Ratings across the club range from around 1200 to nearly 2200.
The Jersey International Chess Tournament 2026
A fantastic week of chess with some excellent play in both the Open and Holiday tournament. Congratulations to IM Wang Hao, winner in the Open, and Antoine Canonne, winner in the Holiday. Full results are in the Events tab — all prize details and photos will be updated shortly, but special mention to John Briden for the “under 1500 Rating” award.
The event will be held again next year, running from 3 April.

Inter Insular
Jersey vs Guernsey, played annually since 1931. Guernsey won the 86th Interinsular 9–7 in 2025.
